The Club of Agricultural Diplomats in Germany is a multinational association of diplomatic representatives who work for foreign embassies in Berlin and have agriculture in their portfolio. The Club serves as a platform for exchanging information as well as expertise, in particular with actors in the field of German agricultural policy.
The Club organises events with, amongst others, representatives from the Federal and State ministries, parliamentary committees, and German associations and institutions. With its series of events, the so-called “Stammtische” (regular round tables), the Club offers a place where current topics can be discussed, such as Germany’s position on CAP, animal husbandry, or renewable energies in agriculture.
Every year, several informative visits to different States take place in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the German Horticultural Association (ZVG) as well as the German Farmers’ Association (DBV).
